The Schuyler-Industry school board voted Monday to accept the resignation of a high school principal involved an investigation that alleges inappropriate contact with a student.
Rushville-Industry High School principal Ryan Plattenberger was placed on paid administrative leave at the end of the Oct. 15 school day. The minutes refer to a "settlement agreement" but gives no details as to the agreement.
The board voted unanimously Monday to accept Plattenberger's resignation, according to minutes from the meeting.
The district contacted the Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Children and Families as part of the investigation. The Illinois State Board of Education also got involved in the inquiry.
