Restricted water use lifted in Macomb

Macomb residents have the all-clear to take a nice long shower Thursday morning.

The city lifted its 24-hour water conservation order around 6 a.m. Thursday that had restricted water use to consumption.

A boil order has been lifted as of Friday morning.

City officials say the shortage was due to a back-up water pump that failed after a power outage at Macomb's water treatment plant Tuesday.
