It was a record-breaking year for Cadan's Carnival.
A check is on its way to St. Louis Children's Hospital for $22,000 for CDH research.
Most of the money is raised in October during Cadan's Carnival.
Rome and Tiffany Frericks started Cadan's Carnival after her infant son died of CDH, or Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia in 2008.
Doctors and researchers at St. Louis Children's have learned more about CDH, and one of the doctors there says since the money has started to come in from Cadan's Carnival, the mortality rates for CDH babies has been cut in half.
