It was a rare homecoming in Memphis, Missouri for a plane with roots in Northeast Missouri.
The Pheasant Airplane Association arrived back in the Tri-States Sunday with this antique Pheasant airplane.
Pheasant airplanes were manufactured in Memphis, Missouri for a short time frame right before the Great Depression. There are only three Pheasants left in existence, and only one was for sale when Association members ran across it in a trade magazine.
Members made the 40 hour road trip last week to New York and back to bring the plane back home.
Eventually members hope to put it in a local museum.
