Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has signed new laws aimed at helping men and women who've served our country find jobs.
Quinn signed a series of bills during his visit to Arlington Heights Thursday that will help veterans get hired on as police officers, emergency medical technicians, and drivers for commercial vehicles. One bill lets veterans bypass a commercial driver's license skill test if they have experience driving military vehicles.
Quinn says anyone who was able to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan is qualified to work in Illinois.
