Quincy seniors donate to 2x4's for Hope
Some Quincy senior citizens donated money to help Tri-State veterans on Thursday.
Residents of the Sunset Apartments presented $255 to 2x4's for Hope.
The money will pay for the framework of a new tiny home.
A plan is in place to build a veterans village in the Quincy area to house homeless veterans.
A few of the donors gathered to honor the vets by signing some of the 2x4 boards.
"I know it sounds like a small amount, but it represents a great deal because what it does is it's a group of people coming together and they're funding the framework of one tiny home," said Mark Lawrence with 2x4's for Hope.
The organization expects to help homeless veterans in about 18 months.
