Quincy police looking for the driver in Saturday morning accident

Quincy police responded to a car accident at 6th Street and Maine Street around 2:22 a.m. Saturday morning.

An investigation concluded that a 2004 Dodge Ram lost control while heading southbound on 6th Street from Hampshire. The truck crashed into the east side of the Maine Center.

Witnesses of the accident told police they saw the occupants of the car flee the scene of the accident.

The car is registered to Brady Fielding. Fielding was located at 5th and Hampshire shortly after the accident and it was determined to he was a passenger in the truck.

Police are still looking into who the driver was. Fielding was arrested under charges for failure to report an accident to police and was later released on bond.

The Quincy Fire Department assisted in securing the building until repairs can be made.

Damages to the building include several broken windows and damage to the brick facade.

No injuries were reported in the accident.
