Quincy owner confirms green light for Tilted Kilt

Tilted Kilt will go into the building that formerly housed Johnny Bang Bang's

The owner of the building that once housed Johnny Bang Bang's confirmed that a national restaurant chain will open there in the coming weeks.

Building owner Duane Venverloth confirmed Monday that a Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery will be located in the building that once played home to a popular dance club.

The restaurant is expected to open by the end of the year.

The Front and Hampshire building has been vacant for months as the interior was readied for the restaurant opening.

The Scottish-themed pub features scantily clad waitresses.

Earlier this year some area ministers spoke out against a franchise opening in Quincy.

The Arizona-based company has chains through the nation, including locations in St. Louis and Springfield, Ill.
