The City of Quincy plans to hold the line on the tax levy for the second year in a row.
According to our news gathering partners at the Quincy Journal, city administrators are expected to present aldermen with a $5.69 million levy for 2011 taxes during tonight's City Council meeting.
The proposed tax rate of is just a fraction of a penny lower than last year's.
Most of the levy is expected to go towards the City's police and fire pensions, although the City will pay less money into the funds than it did last year.
