A Quincy man's car was struck by a Quincy Transit Lines bus Tuesday night near the intersection of 8th and Vermont streets.
Police said bus driver James Albert, 64, was headed south on 8th Street when he disobeyed a red traffic light at about 5:49 p.m.
That's when the bus collided with a car driven by Nathan Shull, 37, in the intersection.
Sgt. Bryan Dusch with the Quincy Police Department said there were no passengers on the bus or in the car that was hit.
He said neither driver complained of any injuries.
Albert was ticketed for failure to obey a red traffic light.
Traffic was blocked in the 8th and Vermont Streets area for more than an hour.
