Quincy car crash sends driver and infant to hospital

The driver of a silver Toyota was taken to Blessing Hospital Wednesday after a car crash near 10th and Chestnut streets.

A baby was also taken to the hospital, but Quincy police said the child did not appear to suffer any injuries.

The crash happened about 1:10 p.m. when the driver of the Corolla swerved to miss striking another vehicle. The driver crashed into a retaining wall.

An officer at the scene said the injuries were not life threatening.

Police expect to release more information later Wednesday afternoon.
