Quincy bridges, airport part of Quinn's big transportation plan

Governor Pat Quinn unveiled an $8.6 billion transportation plan Wednesday that includes money for Quincy bridges.

The plan includes $1.3 million in repairs for the Quincy Bayview Bridge and $3.8 million for work on the Quincy Memorial Bridge.

The plan is part of a six year transportation plan that would fund projects throughout the state.

Work on the Memorial Bridge would take place between 2016 and 2020. Missouri and Illinois would share the cost.

Work on the Bayview bridge would take place between 2015 and 2020.

Included in the plan is a more than $2 million runway rehabilitation at the Quincy Regional Airport.
