The man charged in a multi-state bank robbery spree entered a not guilty plea to four robberies in Illinois.
Willie B. Franklin, 37, is charged in the U.S. District Court Central District of Illinois with four counts of bank robbery.
The charges include the Dec. 26 robbery of the First Mid-Illinois Bank and Trust. A copy of the indictment says that $2,100 was stolen from the bank during the mid-day robbery.
Franklin is also charged with robberies in Kankakee, Peoria and Manteno.
The FBI captured Franklin Jan. 9 in Tampa.
He's due back in court May 8.
