Quincy baby with birth defect breathes last breath

We have a very sad update to bring you on a story we brought you earlier this week.

Drayce Sorenson, the Quincy baby who's been on a ventilator and feeding tube most of his 18 months of life, has died.

Hospice workers removed those tubes Tuesday at noon after his mother, Natalya Sorenson, deemed the baby's quality of life would never improve and would possibly get worse.

Drayce died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Little Drayce was born with a birth defect in January 2013.

Natalya refers to Drayce as her little Superman, which could explain her strength.

Friends and family held a candlelight vigil for Drayce Monday night outside his bedroom window where they sang lullabies to him.

A fund

has been set up to help pay for Drayce's funeral costs.
