Quincy Airbnb Hosts 1,200 Guests in 2017
Airbnb Midwest reports the Gem City saw a 208% growth in stays at Quincy Airbnb's from 2016 to 2017.
Airbnb Midwest announced Wednesday its Quincy host community earned a combined $130,000 in supplemental income while welcoming approximately 1,200 guest arrivals to the city in 2017.
According to Airbnb Midwest, the typical Quincy host earns about $11,000 annually in supplemental income through the Airbnb platform.
Airbnb collects and remits the Illinois hotel operators tax (about 6%) on behalf of its hosts on all Airbnb bookings, delivering helpful new revenue to the state.
