QPS District nears bargaining agreement with union

The Quincy Public School Board has reached a tentative bargaining agreement with a union that represents some employees at the Early Childhood Center.

The current agreement with the Service Employees' International Union Local 73 expired June 30.

The union's bargaining committee member Becky Mock and school board member Scott Stone said negotiations were positive.

Details of the agreement will not be released until approved by both parties.

That union represents about 30 to 35 non-certified teachers and paraeducators at the Early Childhood Center in Quincy.
