Classrooms at Quincy Notre Dame High School will be a bit less crowded this year.
Officials released enrollment figures Friday showing a two percent decrease compared to last year.
However, overall enrollment over the past three years is up six percent.
The number of students projected to enroll as freshmen is better than expected.
Officials were predicting 100 freshmen would enroll, but 110 have signed up this new school year.
And QND students taking the ACT scored better than the statewide average.
The ACT composite score average was 23.5 for QND.
The Illinois statewide average was 20.7.
More than 95 percent of Quincy Notre Dame's Class of 2014 have continued their education and have been awarded more than five million dollars in academic, athletic and performing arts scholarships.
