Instead of just thinking purple Western Illinois University students are also thinking green.
The university unveiled a new program that will see 14 water bottle refilling stations installed around the campus for the 2013-2014 school year.
The school already have six functioning stations.
"I encourage members of our campus community to bring their reusable water bottles to campus and take advantage of the water refilling stations," WIU sustainability coordinator Mandi Green said. "Not only does refilling our water bottles help save our planet, it also saves the 'green' in our wallet."
It's estimated that more than 77,000, 16 oz. water bottles have been diverted from landfills.
