Prescription pain meds lead to Bardolph man's arrest

A Bardolph, Illinois man is behind bars Friday after a McDonough County drug investigation into prescription pain killers.

Sheriff Rick VanBrooker says deputies arrested Robert L. Bigsby on a felony warrant, charging him with delivery of a controlled substance.

A combined drug task force made up of the McDonough County Sheriff's Department, Macomb Police Department, Colchester Police Department, Bushnell Police Department and Blandinsville Police Department had been investigating Bigsby for selling prescription pain medication in the county. Their investigation revealed he had received public aid for his medication and then sold it for profit.

Bigsby is currently lodge in the McDonough County Jail.
