Police say the body of a missing special-needs teenager has been found in a pond between Marissa and Lenzburg.
St. Clair County Sheriff's Police Capt. Steve Johnson said a farmer noticed some clothes near the water Monday and discovered the partially clad body of 15-year-old Christopher Harthorne in the pond.
"It appears that he possibly took some of his clothes off and put them there, but that's speculation," Johnson said.
An autopsy was planned for Tuesday.
Johnson said foul play was not suspected.
Harthorne was last seen about 6:30 p.m. Saturday riding a bicycle along Illinois Route 13.
While he disappeared in the past, the boy's parents told police he had never before been gone so long.
Christopher took daily medication for bipolar disorder, so authorities had hoped to find him quickly.
