      Police bust meth lab in Quincy resulting in four arrests

      The following is a news release from the Adams County Sheriff's Department;

      On 08-19-10 the Adams County Sheriff's ended a methamphetamine maufacturing investigation that resulted in the arrest of four people.

      On 08-19-10 at 7:00 A.M. the Adams County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team conducted a search warrant for methamphetamine at 715 1/2 Kentucky Quincy, Illinois. Upon entry into the residence there were numerous subjects located inside, including two children.

      A search of the residence was conducted and officers located cannabis, meth, paraphernalia and items used to manufacture methamphetamine.

      The following subjects were arrested at this residence and lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.

      ARRESTED:

      Amanda Cheney of Virginai Beach, VA, age 22, arrested for possession of meth and meth related child endangerment.

      Darla Butler of Quincy, Il, age 49, arrested for aggravated participation in meth production, possession of meth, unlawful use of property and meth related child endangerment.

      David E. Butler of Quincy, Il, age 25, possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver.

      David M. Butler of Quincy, Il, age 48, arrested for aggravated participation in meth production, possession of meth, unlawful use of property and meth related child endangerment.

      Adam S. Butler of Quincy, Il, age 21, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

      The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team, Quincy Police Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service assisted the Sheriff's Office with the search warrant .
