Pepsi Caps to help Make-A-Wish

For years, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has made the dreams of sick children come true.

This year, Pepsi and County Market will make a donation to the organization as part of its Pepsi Caps Program.

KHQA's Ryan Delk ventured out to the County Market Express in West Quincy to bring you more details.

The average cost of a wish in Illinois is about five thousand dollars and the help of the Pepsi Program can help.

Hamilton resident Becky Carel's daughter Ally has cerebral palsy and in 2011 Make-A-Wish granted her wish to take a Hawaiian vacation.

Carel says seeing the joy and hope surrounding her daughter that week made all the difference and inspired her to start volunteering with Make-A-Wish.

"We absolutely love it. It's a delight to go and sit with these other kids and families and know that we can take one of their worries away from them and give them something to look forward to in their time of sickness," Carel said.

If you want your Pepsi Caps donation to benefit to the Make-A-Wish, you can drop them off at the West Quincy County Market location or you can donate your caps to one of the other participating sponsors throughout the Tri-States.
