Illinois Ayerco was awarded a $1,000.00 Pepsi Refresh Grant by Refreshment Services Pepsi. Illinois Ayerco will be giving that grant to La Harpe Middle School to help fund programs that would otherwise have to be eliminated because of budget cuts this year. One of those programs is Red Ribbon week which the school will use the Refresh Grant to buy items for the students to earn, such as bracelets, bookmarks, pencils, t-shirts, red ribbons, and books. The school will also use the funds to help buy behavior awards for the students.
Ayerco and Pepsi have been long time partners since Ayeco incorporated in 1964. Ayerco has been operating the location in La Harpe since 1989 where they have been offering great value, service, and support to the community ever since.
Through the Pepsi Refresh Project, Pepsi is awarding more than $20 million in 2010 to fund ideas that move the world forward. At www.refresheverything.com, anyone can submit an idea and each month the public votes to determine which ideas get funded. On the local level, Pepsi bottlers are awarding more than $1 million to fund ideas that will make a difference in their communities.
The Pepsi Refresh Project is really making a difference in communities nationwide. Let your voice be heard at www.refresheverything.com or submit an idea of your own, Johnson said. The Pepsi Refresh Project is an evolution of the Refresh Everything initiative Pepsi launched in 2009, which showed the brand as a catalyst for optimism. In 2010, Pepsi is funding ideas that will move the world forward in six categories: Health, Arts & Culture, Food & Shelter, The Planet, Neighborhoods and Education. The Pepsi Refresh Project features significant social engagement around people and the power of ideas.
