      Park district landmarks face uncertain future

      About 40 members of the public packed the Quincy Park District's Board of Commissioners meeting room Wednesday night at the Emerson Community Center.WTAD reports that the crowd sat through the hour-and-a-half meeting mostly in support of two issues - the Log Cabin Village and the Mississippi Valley Historic Auto Club's Museum. Click here to read more on QuincyJournal.com.The park board wants the Friends of the Log Cabin organization to complete renovations on the site in 3 years without asking for any funding support from the park district.The park district board also wants to work with the group to find a new home for the auto museum.Commissioners were given the first draft of a 16 page comprehensive plan layout the park districts goals for the next 5 years.
