Officials have released the name of the person that died after a two vehicle crash in New London, Missouri.
The driver of the car, 32-year-old Alice Wisdom, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash happened at Route A and U.S. 61, near the Abel's Quick Shop, just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Greg Leftwich of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a car turning off of Route A failed to yield and was struck on the driver's side by a truck heading south on 61. The area was littered with debris from the vehicles.
An 11-year-old passenger in the car was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The driver and a passenger of the truck were not injured.
Sgt. Leftwich said several factors could have played into the accident, including the rainy conditions and a driver possibly being unfamiliar with the area.
