One person has died as a result of injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash Friday morning near Paloma, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said.
Jerry Robbins, 66, of Fowler, Illinois was pronounced dead at 8:19 a.m. at the Blessing Hospital emergency room in Quincy, Adams County Corner Jim Keller said.
The cause of death was attributed injuries he suffered in the crash.
Sheriff Brent Fischer said more people suffered injuries in the crash that happened just before 7:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 24.
The crash happened after Robbins crossed the center line while eastbound on the highway, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said.
He struck a westbound car driven by Bryan Dralle, 51, of Coatsburg. He was taken to Blessing Hospital with major injuries, according the sheriff's office. Helen Vahle, 52, a passenger in Dralle's vehicle also suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle, Christopher Gandara of Mt. Sterling, wasn't injured.
