Twenty-eight million dollars in federal grants will be available to community groups across Illinois.
The money will be used to help educate people about the new online health insurance marketplace.
This is part of the national overhaul of the healthcare system.
People who are not insured will be able to comparison shop in the marketplace for the most affordable insurance plan to fit their needs.
Many of those people will also be eligible for tax credits.
The state is accepting applications from community groups for the grants until May 30th.
