He was born at 3:11 p.m. on Wednesday, welcomed by proud parents, Sara and Stephen Maxwell, of Quincy, Ill. Benjamin weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Benjamin and his family were showered with gifts from Blessed Beginnings: The Birth Center of Blessing Hospital and 30 area merchants.
Sophia Nickol Jackson was the first baby of 2014 at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Mo.
She was born at 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, welcomed by proud parents, Dillon and Ambur Jackson, of Downing, Mo. Sophia weighed 6 pounds, 9.6 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
Baby Sophia was also welcomed by her big sister, Emilie.
Ruth Evelyn Russell was the first baby of 2014 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
She was born at 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, welcomed by proud parents, John and Lisa Russell of Monroe City, Mo. Ruth weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Ruth and his family were showered with gifts from The Chris Coons Women's Care Center at the Hannibal Regional Hospital and several area businesses.
