A judge continued a hearing for the man Ralls County investigators say caused a head-on collision that became international news.
Aaron Smith, 26, of New London faces several charges including second-degree assault in the August 4th crash on Missouri Route 19 that seriously injured 19-year-old Katie Lentz of Quincy.
The incident went viral after Rev. Patrick Dowling prayed with Katie before she was freed from the wreckage.
A plea hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 11 in New London. Smith can enter a plea at the hearing or the matter will be moved to the circuit court where he'll be arraigned on the charges.
