New home for Quincy eatery to begin construction

Have you noticed the fencing that is now set up in the parking lot of the Quincy Commons at 36th and Broadway?

The fencing is blocking off the area where a new Panera Bread Company stand alone building will be constructed.

City of Quincy Engineer Chuck Bevelheimer tells KHQA that Panera plans on starting construct right away on a 4300 square foot building, almost directly in front of their current location.

Store Manager Ron Frillman tells KHQA he expects the construction to be complete by Novebmer and is expected to open on December 12th.

This new business will feature kiosk ordering - the newest technology in the nation for design - and a drive-thru window.

The new restaurant will be able to seat 115 people and the store will be hiring 30-35 more people.
