The Quincy Park District passed a $7.9 million budget for its 2014 fiscal year.
Wednesday night, the board held its last regularly scheduled meeting for 2013.
Commissioners approved a $144,000 bid from Waterkotte Construction to replace a large shelter house at Moorman Park.
Director of Parks Ed Seger said the park district has other projects planned in the new year.
"There's a lot of things we're trying to get done," Seger said. "We have two playgrounds we're going to try to get replaced -- one at South Park and one at Riverview Park."
The board also approved issuing $800,000 in general obligation bonds to pay for capital projects.
The park district is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Golf up until this Friday.
The district plans to interview candidates next month and have someone hired in time to start in February.
