NEMO Sheriff's Office investigates string of burglaries

The Marion County Sheriff's office is investigating a countywide string of burglaries.

The suspects are taking cash, wallets, purses and electronics.

The Sheriff's Office urges residents to make sure they lock their vehicles and houses at all times.

"Burglaries tend to rise during the winter months and citizens seem to become complacent leaving doors unlocked and vehicles unlocked," the Sheriff's Office said in a press release Wednesday.

Anyone with information about about the break-ins is asked to contact Det. Tyler Wheeler or Det. Gloria Hobbs with the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 573-769-2077.
