National tractor pulling league makes a stop in America's Hometown
HANNIBAL, MO —
There was a different type of horse power that filled the Twisted Horse Arena Friday.
A series of tractor pullers will test their luck this weekend in Hannibal, working towards the "full pull."
Jacob Miller is a 16-year-old puller from Browning, Illinois.
He has been pulling tractors for 12 years now and has a lot of appreciation for the sport.
"A lot of this is mainly adrenaline. A lot of these guys will treat you like family and you've only known them for 20 minutes. My whole family does it. A family of four and it’s something you can't get rid of. We call it the "pulling itch”,” said Miller.
Pullers are expected to start pulling again around 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
This weekend’s event is open to the public and free to attend.
