      Murder at Hannibal gas station

      Police say officers were called to the Abel's Quick Shop at 100 Shinn Lane at 3:04 a.m.

      The Hannibal Police Department responded to a robbery call at a local gas station Tuesday morning.

      Police say officers were called to the Abel's Quick Shop at 100 Shinn Lane at 3:04 a.m.

      The incident is labeled a homicide and is under investigation.

      Lt. John Zerbonia has identified the victim as Adrienne F. Arnett, 61, of Hannibal.

      A family member told KHQA's Jim Whitfield that Arnett was alone at work overnight.

      According to Lt. Zerbonia, detectives made a series of arrests of subjects for their involvement in the incident. The arrests began shortly after the incident took place and continued through Tuesday afternoon.

      Marion County Coroner Darrell McCoy says Arnett was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m.

      McCoy says funeral arrangements will be handled by James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
