Baby Nora is now breathing on her own and is wearing a neck brace as she recovers from her injuries.

The mother of a child known as Baby Nora asked for a bond reduction in court Monday.

You'll remember Dustin Dye, of Hannibal, faces two counts of felony assault in connection to physical injury to the 7-week-old baby.

Melinda Hamilton, also of Hannibal, was arrested on a probation violation. She has a bond of $20,000.

The request for bond reduction is under advisement and Hamilton remains in custody.

Court documents show she had served 120 days of a 10-year sentence in a Missouri prison on felony drug charges. She received five years of supervised probation.

Hamilton's next hearing is scheduled for July 22.
