A Quincy crash sent two cars into a front yard near 24th and Vermont early Thursday morning.
According to the traffic crash report, a car driven by 25-year-old Rachael A. Brink, of Quincy, was eastbound on Vermont and trying to cross 24th Street when it was struck by another car around 8:14 a.m. Brink told police that she did not see another car until it came out of nowhere.
That car, northbound on 24th Street, was driven by 29-year-old Anna Chartkova, of Quincy.
The report stated that after Chartkova's car struck Brink's car, Brink's car continued across 24th and hit a concrete retaining wall at 300 N. 24th and Chartkova's car continued across 24th and hit a stop sign.
Police said several witnesses stated that Chartkova was driving recklessly and speeding at upwards of 60-80 MPH while passing vehicles on 24th Street.
Chartkova stated she was late for nursing clinicals and admitted to passing a few cars, according to the report.
Chartkova was cited on charges of reckless driving and improper lane usage.
