Mobile home destroyed in late night fire

Tri-Township firefighters responded to reports of a fully engulfed home, at 524 Turtle Lake Trail.

Fire investigators remain on scene of a fire that took out a mobile home Tuesday night.

Tri-Township firefighters responded to reports of a fully engulfed home, at 524 Turtle Lake Trail, just south of Quincy around 10 p.m.

No one was inside the home at the time. The fire department has not been able to contact its owners.

Electricity to the home was off at the time of the fire. The cause remains under investigation.

This happens to be the same neighborhood, where six Turtle Lake residents were told to vacate their homes just before Thanksgiving last year. They took the issue to court Wednesday morning. Residents include Gregory Griffin, Carolyn Duniven, Grover Thomas, Richard Logsdon and Robert and David Spillman.

Cleatis Langan is the owner of the properties and wants the tenants to vacate their properties so her grandson can farm there. Her attorney is Don Heck.

We'll have the latest on the house fire and the court case on KHQA News at 5 and 6.
