Moberly woman survives chilling ordeal when kidnapped, raped and kept in freezer

A Moberly man will spend 90 years in prison for his part in the kidnapping and rape of a woman left in a locked freezer.

36-year-old Sean Williams was convicted in February of being one of four men who assaulted a 23-year-old woman at a Moberly motel in February of last year.

After the assault the victim says her captors took her to an abandoned basement, and put her in a freezer with cinder blocks on top.

She was able to escape when the men left.

A Moberly man is headed to prison for his part in a brutal kidnapping and assault.

A Randolph County jury convicted Sean Williams of being an accessory to kidnapping and first-degree assault, forcible sodomy and forcible rape in connection with a disturbing crime in which a woman was kidnapped, and held in a deep freezer between assaults.

According to

, the crime happened last year when Williams helped kidnap a 22-year-old victim at a Moberly hotel and took her to an abandoned basement.

Prosecutors said the woman was beaten, trapped in an old deep freezer and raped.

Williams and another woman beat and assaulted her and trapped her in the deep freezer.
