'Mississippi Marketplace' brings local, unique goods to downtown Hannibal

If you happen to be in downtown Hannibal this week, there's a new store you might want to keep a lookout for.
Mississippi Marketplace celebrated its grand opening this past weekend, and also had a ribbon cutting Monday morning.
This store mainly carries specialty foods, but also has home décor items for purchase.
One of the special attractions in the store is the "Missouri" section, where all of the products come locally produced from the area.
The store officially opened about nine weeks ago, and owners say business has been booming.
"I've always wanted to have a business down here on Main Street, right here in the middle is where I wanted to be. I love vacation, and I love tourists, and I also love food. So about a year ago, my husband and I came down and we were like "What does Hannibal have, what do they need." And then we were like food, food. And I'm like "oh my god, it's perfect." I love food," Mississippi Marketplace owner Linda Studer said.
The store also offers gluten-free items, silk arrangements, herbs and nuts.
The owners hand out samples for customers to try their products.
