South Side Boat Club in Quincy is keeping its doors open, at least for now.
Friday night, dozens of members of the
South Side Boat Club
met to discuss its future, according to a news released submitted to KHQA.
A board member told KHQA that another board member agreed to donate enough money to pay the club's bills for the rest of the year.
This isn't the first time members have met to discuss the future of the 117-year-old Quincy landmark.
Just last summer, the club announced it was in danger of closing due to financial troubles and a decline in membership.
About 80 members then met during what was described as a heated discussion.
The membership decided to investigate other options in an attempt to keep the doors of the recreation spot open.
