MDH gives Healing Hand Award to deserving recipient
McDonough District Hospital congratulates Jen Wagoner for receiving a Healing Hand award, an honor within the Grateful Patient Program.
Wagoner was recognized for her exceptional treatment by Grateful Patient, Gayle Carper.
“I am grateful to Jen for figuring out my problem that had lasted four years with five ER visits, two hospital stays and four specialists. Jen fixed it after seeing the symptoms of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV),” said Carper.
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a form of physical therapy that addresses inner ear or balance disorders for individuals with symptoms of: unbalance, dizziness, vertigo, lightheadedness, gaze instability, and/or motion sensitivity.
The Grateful Patient Program provides an opportunity for patients and/or families to show their gratitude and appreciation in honor of the excellent care received. In addition to recognizing a Healing Hand, patients and/or families may make a financial contribution to support an area of care or direct their gift to a more specific cause.
