Mark Twain autobiography is hard to find

We think we've found the hottest gift this holiday season, but good luck finding it.

The Mark Twain autobiography Volume One is practically sold out in the tri-states.

One of our employees bought the last copy Friday at a local bookstore.

We checked in with several other book stores in the tri-states, and it's the same story.

KHQA asked the owner of Great Debate Books in Quincy how surprised he was by the book's success.

"I guess I'm surprised, but the key thing is the publisher is surprised. Supposedly, they printed 45,000 and the demand is three times that already. In this area, I knew it would sell very, very well. It's also selling all across the country," says Randy Stocker.

Many bookstores, including Great Debate Books, have waiting lists for the book.

Randy Stocker tells KHQA he's been promised to have more of the auto biography in by December 23rd, and more in January.

By the way, this is just volume one of three of the Mark Twain autobiography.
