Authorities in Ralls County spent most of Thursday trying to find a man wanted on a felony warrant.
The Ralls County Sheriff's office tried to serve Jeremiah Preston, 29, with a warrant when he fled and ran his vehicle into a patrol car.
The sheriff deputy in that car was sent to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Numerous deputies were searching several areas of the county attempting to locate Preston.
Authorities are focusing on areas near Route F in Ralls County.
Officials said Preston may be hurt.
Court records show that Preston is wanted on a warrant issued August 9th for failure to appear in Marion County court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle in a careless manner.
Between 2007 and 2010, Preston pleaded guilty to theft, marijuana possession, passing bad checks and two separate cases of resisting arrest, according to court records.
Rural residents are urged to lock their doors and not answer it for anyone you don't know.
If you see Preston, do not approach him and dial 911 immediately.
Sergeant Brent Bernhardt told KHQA the Missouri Highway Patrol was called in to assist in the search but never located the suspect.
