Some Macomb residents might have seen quite a bit of commotion on East Calhoun Street Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to reports of a man standing on a porch roof with a gun.
Macomb police, Illinois State Police, McDonough County Sheriff's office and Western Illinois University Office of Public Safety setting up a perimeter to surround the house.
Officers say the gun Samuel Cox was displaying was loaded and that Cox was under the influence of methamphetamine.
Police say the man eventually came out of the house; began talking with officers; and was taken into custody.
Macomb police say they saw a another person in the upstairs apartment.
That suspect, who has not been identified, was ordered out of the house and taken into custody.
Cox was charged with disorderly conduct and theft under $500. More charges may be pending.
