A Macon man, who admitted to several sex related felony charges, will spend the next several decades in prison.
Billie Spaid, 36, entered a guilty plea to charges of enticement of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, second degree statutory sodomy and two counts of second degree statutory rape.
Spaid was sentenced to 30 years in prison on the enticement charge. He was sentenced to seven years on each of the remaining counts, with those sentences to be served at the same time. The judge ordered the seven year sentence to be served following the completion of the 30 year sentence. In total, Spaid was sentenced to 37 years in prison.
In a connected case, Billie Spaid's wife, Christina, who pleaded guilty to four charges, was sentenced back in April to seven years in prison. Her charges included felony counts of first degree endangering the welfare of a child, second degree statutory sodomy and use of a child in a sexual performance and a misdemeanor count of unlawful sex with an animal.
Christina Spaid is currently serving her time at the Women's Correctional Center in Vandalia.
