Macomb residents get say on budget

The Macomb community will get chance to weigh in on next year's school budget, Wednesday.

The Illinois State Board of Education is holding one of its five public hearings throughout the state at the Macomb High School Library.

The hearing is to gather public opinions on the local district's education needs and priorities.

The Board recommends a budget for the next fiscal year, in January.

The meeting goes from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Macomb teachers union will also hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon covering the status of its contract negotiations.
