Macomb man arrested after K9 alerts vehicle of narcotics
On Friday, the McDonough County Sheriff's office arrested a 47-year-old Macomb man.
A night patrol deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense at 13420 Highway 41 around 7:30 p.m.
The officer observed criminal activity and deployed Kenzo, the K9 unit, who alerted to the presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search led to the seizure of one gram of Cocaine from Joseph E. Howard's pocket, a passenger in the vehicle.
Howard was lodged in the McDonough County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
