Macomb declares a Snow Emergency

Press release from the City of Macomb:

Effective 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 a snow emergergency is declared for the city of Macomb in anticipation of a major winter storm expected to occur over the next 72 hours. The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until cancelled.

Parking is prohibited on Emergency Snow Routes when a snow emergency has been declared. All emergency snow routes are posted. Residents are requested to relocate any vehicles parked on snow routes before 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2011.

Vehicles parked on a snow route during a snow emergency may be towed without notice.

This winter storm is forecast to be severe and may bring afoot or more of snow to the Macomb area. Residents are encouraged to make all preparations necessary for their health and safety during this winter event.
