Louisiana building lawsuit

A trial is set for March 21st in a dispute between the City of Louisiana Missouri and a downtown business.

French Hen Antiques owners Haines and Marilyn Moss were fined 501 dollars for what the city called building code violations at their vacant two-story facility at 316 Georgia.

The couple has said repairs can't be made until insurance settlements are finalized in the collapse of a former flower shop next door.

The structure fell in on May 30th of 2010, leaving a wall of the Moss building exposed.

The Mosses are now suing flower shop owners Willard and Natalie Crow for 185 thousand dollars. The suit claims the Crows knew the former flower shop building was in bad shape and are responsible for the damage to the Moss building.

A date has not been set for a hearing on the lawsuit.
