A Loraine woman that plead guilty to aggravated sexual abuse charges was sentenced in Adams County court Wednesday.
Nicole Starman, 31, was sentenced to 360 days of periodic imprisonment in the Adams County Jail and 220 days were stayed. Starman will be allowed work release for 120 days.
She received 36 months of probation and has to register as a sex offender for at least 10 years.
Starman was also ordered to undergo evaluation and treatment and substance abuse counseling.
Adams County States Attorney Jon Barnard believes the sentence to be fair and reports that Starman had no prior sex-related offences and no violence was involved.
Police arrested Starman in December after they say she performed a sexual act with a 14-year-old boy and sent him sexual text messages.
A second charge of indecent solicitation of a child against her was dropped.
Starman checked into the Adams County jail Wednesday, July 9.
